Baker Forum

California Polytechnic State University

The Baker Forum was established by the Cal Poly President’s Council of Advisors on the occasion of two decades of service to Cal Poly by President Warren J. Baker and his wife, Carly, to further the dialogue on critical public policy issues facing the nation and higher education. The forum gives particular attention to the special social and economic roles and responsibilities of polytechnic and science and technology universities. Polytechnic and science and technology universities must lead the way in ensuring that these innovations are applied broadly to serve the interests of society and in preparing new generations of innovators and problem-solvers.

Our Collective Journey Begins: "Real" and "Raw," An Intimate Dialogue to Get Us on Track

2:00 - 4:00 PM - Friday, May 4th, 2018 - Christopher Cohan Performing Arts Center

Every other year, the university hosts the Baker Forum.  This year's recent incidents have provided an opportunity for real dialogue that will help us transform.  We are not afraid to hear the "truth" through the eyes of our panelists.  In order to heal, we need to rip off the band-aid and let our wounds air.

The 2018 Baker Forum will be live-streamed. Watch it on YouTube here.
